What good is all my smallness, this?
Jory Mickelson
the kindling of the nettle’s green
how we survived descent
the sputter of the doe’s ear
what to the field is the wind
how the blade of grass
cuts nothing
the painter’s brush stiffens
forgotten, the pigment’s weight
