Reachings

King Grossman

The golden Santa Lucias
now curtained with green
from all the rains,

the air crisp, the wind blustery;
everything cleans me out
and brings me to beauty,

by knowing how to maneuver
past my fear
to touch the sun
again
and again
with heavily charred hands.
